Yes! 2009 is Mini 50th Anniversary! Mini was born in 1959 and this small car was produced by British Motor Corporation (BMC). It was designed by Sir Alec Issigonis. This year, Mini will have a great international meeting around the world for the very special 50th years anniversary, and I do believe this small car will rock the world for a long long time.

This year, there will be an International Mini Meeting 2009 that held on 7-10 August 2009 Longbridge, Birmingham, UK. Birmingham Mini owners Club (BMOC) will organize the IMM 2009 (International Mini Meeting 2009) to the best of their ability, and strive to make the weekend as enjoyable as possible for all visitors and for all Mini drivers in UK. The International Mini Meeting in Malaysia will be held on the 1st and 2nd August 2009, at Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. A group of Mini enthusiasts who will be hosting a celebration event to commemorate the Mini’s 50th birthday. They are working with AMC Motors Asia Sdn Bhd to broaden the reach of this event. The event will be held on the 1st and 2nd of August 2009 in Bukit Jalil Kuala Lumpur. This event is listed Internationally. This is not a club event and is open to all owners of the wee machine and to the general public. There will be activities to keep the whole family entertained for the entire weekend.
