There is a lot of “Wow! Wow! Wow!” when everyone saw the first debut of the Peugeot RCZ at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2009. The reason why there are so many excitements is because Peugeot fans has been long waiting for something new, fresh, and different from the French auto maker. It has been long time since Peugeot built cars that really get their fans excited about. And now, the RCZ finally make all the car lovers feel like having level 1 drugs when looking at it and top level drug when ride on it.

It’s been more than a year since its first debut in 2009 as a brand new 2-door coupe sports car. Today, the Peugeot RCZ has been drifting all the way fromFrance across the world to almost hundred countries. You will pretty sure see the Peugeot RCZ at every corner in the world that famous for beautiful cars or exotic cars. Why? Let’s look at some of the reasons.

The Peugeot RCZ is powered by 1.6 THP 16V straight-4 engines. It is available in automatic transmission and six-speed manual transmission. The automatic version is a direct-injection turbo engine which produce 156 hp (torque of 240 Nm) whiles the manual version is a little bit more spicy which able to pull the car with the maximum torque of 225 Nm and produce 200 hp. The manual version is also recorded to achieve 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and the top speed is 237 km/h. On the other hand, the auto achieves 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds and the top speed is 213 km/h.

What about the outlook? The most most most special part of this car is the double bubble glass roof that look likes a beautiful sea wave. It is very special either when viewing from the top or from the back. Well, if you just look at the front part of the car, it is yet another Peugeot. For the side and back view, it has a little shadow of the Audi TT. That is also the main competitor of the RCZ. The RCZ comes with 19” alloy wheels which is quite prominent for a small coupe.

What about the feature? The standard featured you can find in the car is pretty high quality including leather seat with driver’s memory, full leather dashboard, hill assist function, electric heater, Xenon lights, and JBL Hi Fi sound system. Three round things in the middle of the dashboard finished with chrome lining. In the middle it is an analog clock and the other two for the air-cond. The analog clock is to make this modern car back to classic for a little bit while digital clock is so common nowadays. There are also some automatic features that makes the driver has some fun when riding the car including auto height adjustment for headlamps and the active rear spoiler that automatic raise according to the car speed.

What isn’t so good for Peugeot RCZ: This is definitely a car that excited all of us. However, some consumer can buy the Peugeot 308 turbo (Not so stylist) which has almost similar performance with the Peugeot RCZ at a lower price. The RCZ also has another 2 seats at the back but it doesn’t have much legroom.

Peugeot RCZ’s competitor or similar car: Audi TT, Mercedes-Benz SLK, MINI Cooper S, BMW Z4, and Nissan 370Z Fairlady.

In a nutshell, if we ask the question “Will you buy this car?” to any car lovers, 9 out of 10 will answer “Yeahbsolutely!”
