  • Cool down the transmission.

How to choose the right oil

There is a ‘W’ and numbers to determine to oil grade. The number before the ‘W’ is the cold viscosity rating and the number after ‘W’ is the hot viscosity rating of the oil. Therefore, if you want to start your car in cold climates easily, choose low number in front of W. For example, 5W-40.

Basically there are 3 main types of oil grades, which are:
Fully Synthetic: 0W-30, 0W-40, 5W-40.
Semi-synthetic: 5W-30, 10W-40, 15W-40.
Mineral (Low quality oil): 10W-40, 15W-40.
