GMC was founded by Max Grabowsky in December 22, 1901. The company designed and developed GMC trucks that are the earliest commercial trucks ever designed. Eight years later, GM purchased the company and makes it as one of the major division to manufacture trucks.
During World War, there are around 600,000 GMC trucks were built for the US military. Some of the well known models are GMC CCKW and GMC DUKW. Over the decades, there are a lot of significant models were built by GMC.

- GMC Sierra (1998 – present) – One of the most wanted GMC trucks as well as top selling cars in the US. Also known as Chevrolet Silverado.
