DeLorean cars are one of those rare car brands that make us think of Back to The Future car. DeLorean DMC-12 often is the only model comes into mind when mentioned DeLorean.
DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) was founded by a handsome gentleman John Zachary DeLorean in 1975. Other than the DMC-12, John DeLorean is well known for developing some of the most wanted muscle cars from the 1960s and 1970s such as the Pontiac GTO, Pontiac Firebird, and Pontiac Grand Prix.
One of the most famous DeLorean cars is the DeLorean DMC-12 which also well-known as the Back to the Future Time Machine. Although the production of the DMC-12 last only a year from 1981 to 1982, it has deeply implant in car lovers mind that it is the time machine.
The original DeLorean DMC-12 was assembly in Dunmurry, Northern Ireland and Houston, Texas. The scissor door (gull-wing door) is what makes the car look futuristic at its time. Fitted with a 2849 cc 5 speed engine, the car is one of the best sports cars at all time since ‘80s until today.

This car brand is name after its founder John DeLorean. However, often people spell it out with mistake as De Lorean and sometimes Delorean. John DeLorean died in 2005 at the age of 80, leaving DeLorean as a car brand that everyone wish to drive and back to the future.
If you notice the car market today, there are many people still finding an immaculate DeLorean for sale or DeLorean cars for sale with the purpose to collect the DMC-12, a car that marked a history in automobile world. DeLorean Motor Company closed in 1982 due to lack of demand for DeLorean cars and also John DeLorean’s high profile arrest on charges of drug trafficking. However, he successfully defended himself against the charges. In conclusion, DeLorean is a very big success no matter in the ‘80s or today. This is because you can still see a large number of DeLorean cars running on the road especially during some car show.
