Nissan Z cars have been one of the most fascinating Nissan sports cars since the first generation was introduced in 1969. Nissan Z cars not only attract people’s attention when it is running on the road but it also attracts many attentions in many forms of racing. The first generation of Nissan Z cars, the Nissan S30s (which also known as 240Z/260Z/280Z) has won many SCCA/IMSA championships from 1979 throughout recent years.

Since 1969, there are total of sixth Nissan Z car models have been introduced to the market. The shape, performance, outlook, and price are what make the Z cars one of the most successful Nissan cars.

Nissan S30 (First generation)

Nissan S30 was sold in Japan and some Asia countries as the Nissan Fairlady Z. In some other countries it is market as Datsun 240Z, Datsun 260Z, and Datsun 280Z. The car has a long engine bay and short rear. It was designed by Mr. Yoshihiko Matsuo and it is still one of the most sought-after Nissan Z cars until today.

Nissan 280ZX (Second generation)

Nissan 280ZX (Nissan S130) is the second generation of the Z-car. The production went on from 1979 to 1983. It is also known as Datsun 280SX and Fairlady Z in Japan and some other countries.

Nissan 300ZX Z31 (Third generation)

Nissan 300ZX (Z31) is the third generation of Nissan Z-car introduced in 1983 and the production went on until 1989. Around 329,900 of the 300ZX Z31 were produced within 7 years. Z31 was later replaced by Z32 in 1989.

Nissan 300ZX Z32 (Fourth generation)

Nissan 300ZX Z32 was the replacement for Z31. It was introduced in 1989 the production went on until 2000 due to high demand from sports cars enthusiasts from around the world. What makes the 300ZX special is that it gives the driver the feeling of driving an airplane on the road. Exotic outlook, powerful engine, and one of the top ten performance cars are what makes the Z32 a success.

Nissan 350Z Z33 (Fifth generation)

Nissan 350Z or Nissan Fairlady Z was first introduced in 2003. Without any TV commercials, the 350Z already a huge success with the proof of the sales result. In 2006, it was even more famous with its appearance in the bad boys underground racing movies “The Fast and The Furious 3 Tokyo Drift”. The production went on until 2009 and it was replace by Nissan 370Z Z34.

Nisan 370Z Z34 (Sixth generation)

Nissan 370Z Z34 is the latest and newest Nissan Z cars. It was introduced at an event in LA ahead of the 2008 Greater LA Auto Show. It was the replacement for Nissan 350Z and it is now the latest Nissan Fairlady Z in Japan, as well as the latest Nissan Z cars.
