Here are the steps on how to make a baby car seat cover and turn a shoddy baby car seat to a brand new and lovely baby seat with the new seat cover. Step 1 – Remove the baby car seat from the car

Step 2 – Measure the seat cover

Measure every dimension of the car seat fabric which you removed in step 1 and add another few inches for each measurement. This is to get extra fabric to wrap around the seat and prevent from anything wrong.

Step 3 – Choose the fabric and pattern

You can now go to any fabric shop and choose the fabric and pattern you want. There are many types of material available in the market such as PVC, pure leather, normal fabric, or sturdy cotton which is a breathable material and suitable for baby. Step 4 – Make and cut the new fabric

Now mark the new fabric according to the size you measure in step 2 using a marker. Mark it carefully if the shape is oval, circle or round shape depends on your car seat type. Then you can cut out the pattern with a sharp cutter or scissor, this is how to make a baby car seat cover look nice.

Step 5 – Sew the new seat cover

You can now lay the pattern to the new fabric and pin it together. Then use the sewing machine to sew the car seat cover. You are use hand sewing needle to complete the cover for are that hardly sew with machine. This could bring give a perfect job. It is optional to make a two tone car seat cover by sewing 2 different colors fabric together. It is recommended to wash it before you apple the new cover to the car seat.
