2016 MINI Cooper John Cooper Works
First of all, congrats to a member of MalaysiaMiniLover who have just bought a 2016 MINI Cooper John Cooper Works. F56 JCW MINI is the most powerful car MINI ever produced. It features a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 231 hp at 6,000 rpm and 320 Nm of torque (350 Nm of torque on overboost) from 1,250-4,800 rpm. Without doubt, it is definitely the best car to be owned by Mini enthusiasts.
With that amount of power, it takes only 6.1 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h and all the way up to a top speed of 246 km/h. Transmission wise, the JCW is paired with a 6-speed sports automatic transmission. The official fuel consumption is 17.24 km/l (5.8liter/100km or 40.55mpg). As the owner has just get the car, we are still waiting for his feed back on the actual fuel consumption.
Difference Between Mini Cooper S And John Cooper Works
So, what’s the difference between Mini Cooper S and John Cooper Works? Of course, it is not just the price. Although both Mini Cooper S and John Cooper Works use the same basic engine, the JCW model features a few significant upgrades to give more power to the car. While the car has more power, it comes with a more robust transmission, 4-piston Brembo brakes with 13.19-inch ventilated brake discs, sport suspension with stiffer springs, dampers, thicker anti-sway bars, front & rear stabilizer and dyno tuning complement all the extra power. With such settings, the JCW MINI delivers a tightly tuned ride compared to the Mini Cooper S.
Exterior: The JCW MINI features a large central vent in the deeper front bumper, bonnet stripes, full LED headlights, daytime running lights, JCW side skirts, JCW side vents and JCW spoilers. 18-inch John Cooper Works Cup Spoke two-tone allow wheels is also standard on the car.
