2000 Mini Classic Seven
The MK7 Mini Classic Seven was introduced in April 2000 as soon as the cute little car roared onto the scene in 1959. It was designed to look like an original Austin Seven Mini in 1959. The car came in three colours: Solar Red, Old English White, and Black. The Mini Classic Seven shared here is belongs to Adam Bailey who bought it in April 2000. We had this pictures back in 2011 but now we are not sure if he still keeping the car.
Although the car was designed to look like the 59 Austin Seven, the power is different. It is powered by a 1275cc 4-cylinder engine pumping 62 bhp and has a top speed of 90mph. All it takes is 12.2 seconds from 0-60mph. The most amazing thing is the fuel economy of 42mpg! That’s one of the reasons why the Mini is still the most sought-after car until today.
For the 2000-built Classic Seven, it features a winding windows, dash vents, concealed door hinges, front disc brake, rear drum brakes, 12-inch alloy wheels, and 6-port rubber-mounted subframe. Inside, it looks as luxury as some other more expensive cars with body color-matched dashboard, key start and key steering lock, a Rover radio cassette player, driver’s three nice driver’s instrument binnacle, fresh air heater as standard, and two-tone leather seats.
Amazingly, this Solar Red Mini Classic Se7en has only covered 9,367 miles for the last eleven years and has only two previous owners. Everything looks the same as when it left the Longbridge factory in 2000 except the new wavy grille a set of overmats. Even the sound of the engine and the smells from the exhaust still smell like new. Good job Adam!
Binnacle – It covered less than 10,000 miles
