  • 2000 Mini Classic Seven

    Mini Classic Seven
The MK7 Mini Classic Seven was introduced in April 2000 as soon as the cute little car roared onto the scene in 1959. It was designed to look like an original Austin Seven Mini in 1959. The car came in three colours: Solar Red, Old English White, and Black. The Mini Classic Seven shared here is belongs to Adam Bailey who bought it in April 2000. We had this pictures back in 2011 but now we are not sure if he still keeping the car.

    Mini Classic Seven
Although the car was designed to look like the 59 Austin Seven, the power is different. It is powered by a 1275cc 4-cylinder engine pumping 62 bhp and has a top speed of 90mph. All it takes is 12.2 seconds from 0-60mph. The most amazing thing is the fuel economy of 42mpg! That’s one of the reasons why the Mini is still the most sought-after car until today.

    Mini Classic Seven
For the 2000-built Classic Seven, it features a winding windows, dash vents, concealed door hinges, front disc brake, rear drum brakes, 12-inch alloy wheels, and 6-port rubber-mounted subframe. Inside, it looks as luxury as some other more expensive cars with body color-matched dashboard, key start and key steering lock, a Rover radio cassette player, driver’s three nice driver’s instrument binnacle, fresh air heater as standard, and two-tone leather seats.

    Mini Classic Seven
Amazingly, this Solar Red Mini Classic Se7en has only covered 9,367 miles for the last eleven years and has only two previous owners. Everything looks the same as when it left the Longbridge factory in 2000 except the new wavy grille a set of overmats. Even the sound of the engine and the smells from the exhaust still smell like new. Good job Adam!

  • Crazily modified Austin Se7en Van

    Austin Seven Van
The Mini MK1 Austin Se7en Van was produced between 1960 and 1961. The original car features a MK1 slatted grille, 10-inch wheels with 4-inch wide tires, an 848-cc engine, and double swinging doors at the back. The wheelbase of the car has been increased but the size engine bay is still the same with other MK1 Mini. However, this man, Roadrunner 45 from Hawthorn Woods, Illionious, has managed to place a LS1 engine into the engine bay of a 1966 Austin Se7en Van. He has created the “World’s quickest mini” project.

    Austin Seven Van
Outside, the car looks like an ordinary Austin van with a customized bodykit, 13-inch wheels, and it is painted in chili red. But who knows under the hood there is a crazy monster sitting inside? The 5.7-liter Generation III LS1 engine was rated at 350hp (260kW) and 495 Nm of torque. Some notable cars that use the same V8 engine are the 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5, Chevrolet Camaro Z28, Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, 2004 Pontiac GTO, and a few more the be named here. Now, it becomes the heart of a 1996 Austin Se7en Mini Van! Can you imagine that? A mere 350hp pushing a car that was built in 1966 and it was sold for £360 when new.

    Austin Seven Van
The creator of this car added a customized roll-cage to stiffen the body, redesign the seating positing, pedals, steering rack, and exhaust. Guess what? It has got a hi-cam inside the engine! As you can see from the photos the gearbox almost taken the entire space under the dashboard and there will be no room for air-conditioning, heater, or defrost. The footweels will get extremely hot too!

This monster, world’s quickest Mini project car, world’s most crazily modified classic Mini, or whatever you prefer to call it, is the only one with generation III LS1 engine out there based on our research.
