  • A man wins a Lamborghini Murcielago and wrecked it after hours

Remember that few days ago we asked “What are you planning to do if you own a Lamborghini Murcielago?” In just few days we got another answer from an Utahan, the answer is “I will crash it!”

The Utahan, David Dopp, is truck driver and is also a father of six. He won a 650-hp lime green Lamborghini Murcielago on Saturday from a giveaway sponsored by Mavrick gas stations and teamgive.org. It was suppose to be a thanksgiving present but he wrecked it just after hours since he gets the key of a 650-hp exotic car.

As usual, when one get a huge lucky present like what Dopp gets, the neighborhood is going to celebrate with a convoy run with him in the exotic. Imagine that Dopp gets into a 650 hp from what he used to have. He may get a little bit excited with the power the car delivers. Dopp lost control during the ride. The car went over a curb and hopping off the road and stay 75 feet into the field. Luckily Dopp has a full insurance coverage otherwise he may have to pay a huge amount for the repair although the cost is still unknown.

A report says that the car bumper has been damaged, oil pan has been broken, but both passengers in the car are safe. One official says the accident was speed related but Dopp keep saying he hit a patch of black ice or gravel.

“Yeah, I got it on Saturday and I wrecked it on Saturday,” Dopp said, “We were coming up a hill, going around a corner; and as soon as we came up the hill, we either hit some black ice or loose gravel or something, and all of a sudden we just started spinning,” said the Lucky Winner.

The lucky winner describe the day as “An emotional roller coaster”. Drift King Keiichi Tsuchiya used to say, “What is power without control? It’s not all power boy!” Don’t believe what Keiichi says? You can see the 1.2 million Bugatti Veyron crashes into lake because of “angry birds”.

Although this is a Lamborghini, it isn’t the most expensive car crashes of the year of 2011 compared to the recent exotic car crashes in Japan.

  • Eleven most famous car brands slipped into the top 100 brands of 2011

Few more days we going to say good bye to the year of 2011 and welcome 2012. Again, it is time to look back what we did and plan for what we are going to do. This year, the top ten most famous car brands including Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Honda, Volkswagen, Ford, Audi, Hyundai, Porsche, Nissan, and Ferrari have slipped into the top 100 brands of 2011 with the total brand value of 138.7 billion. • Saab threw white towel into the ring and says good bye

Saab Automobile has finally threw white towel into the ring and declared itself bankrupt on Monday. The Swedish car maker stopped making cars since April due to lack of funds. The company forced to say good bye after the former owner GM blocked their last rescue plan by Chinese investor Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile.

Saab is one remarkable car maker that well-known for its innovation, green technology, safety, and turbo-charging system in the automobile industry. The company was founded in 1937 and it has been always making notable cars for 64 years in the industry including the Saab 93B, Saab 900, and the most recent Saab 9-3 and Saab 9-5. However, their car sales don’t really went good and the total production of Saab cars in 2010 is less than 50,000 units. This has because the company suffers for money in first quarter of 2011. Many rescues were attempts to the company and the last one was Zhejiang Youngman who intends to buy 54% of Saab for 245 million euro.

It’s really sad to see such a good car brand was killed by GM indirectly after the Saturn. For whoever own Saab cars, you may keep it nicely in the garage as it will be a piece of history in the future.

  • What are you planning to do if you own a Lamborghini Murcielago?

What are you planning to do if you have a 650 hp Lamborghini Murcielago falls into your hand? I believe most of the people will love it, kiss it, polish it, park the car as close as to their bed and have a peep every 20 minutes to see if the car still there.

However, not everything thinks the same. Far East in theAsiathere is a company called PHKOSUGI tried to promote their LED lights and turn the car into Troncielago. They fitted the car with a new Aventador look-a-like body kit and the entire car was light-up. LED lights were added from car hood to air vent to door surrounding to underneath. Do you believe that 650 hp could be ruined with some cheap LED lights?

What even funny is the company made the video and try to advertise to some other exotic owners that they can actually turn exotic cars into Tron car. Something like Ferrari Tronfiorano, Trontalia 458, or Lamborghini Tronventador.

Lamborghini only built 4099 Murcielago in the 10 years time frame. One was killed here and now left 4098 surviving Murcielago on earth. Oh My Gosh! I know they like Backstreet Boys’ song “I want it that way”, ain’t nothing but a headache.

  • World’s ugliest car: The Fiat Multipla is with beer belly

If you follow what we write about automobile world since day one, we seldom want to criticize how ugly a car is but the ugliness couldn’t stop us from writing an article to disparage it. The production of this car has no longer available and it is really doesn’t matter for us to talk about it right now. It is the Fiat Multipla that released by Fiat in 1998.

The Multipla was base on the Brava but Fiat wants to make the car a little wider so that the front row can fit in three adults. When the width of the car was broaden, the second role can also fit in three seats nicely. Two rows of three seats is the biggest selling point of the Multipla compared to some of its competitor during that time like the Renault Kangoo the car eventually shorter than its rivals.

We understand that Fiat wants to create a car that gives comfort ride to its passengers just like one of its biggest success Fiat 600 Multipla. The 600 Multipla is world’s first minivan and it was a big hit in the ‘50s to ‘60s. A car that is cute to look at, nice to ride on, and eye-catching. The 1998 Fiat Multipla has slightly the look but it doesn’t have the feeling that the Fiat 600 Multipla has. When the design of the car is widen and shorten, the car has become weird and ugly like a beer belly (You may also want to see the coffin-look Volvo S60). We do not understand why there is another layer of “belly” in between the car windscreen and the car hood. More over, the belly is even added with eyes.

Can you spot the similarity between the left and right image?

Forget about the outlook, the two-row six-seater family car was voted by Top Gear as “Car of the Year” in 2000. It is really comfortable to ride on and three in the front row is once in a blue moon in automobile history. As for the performance, the car is available in 1.6L and 1.9L with 5-speed manual transmission which is powerful enough to pull the car with curb weight in between 1300 and 1490 kg. Nothing much to praise this car anymore since it has now been replaced by the rebadged Dodge Journey and named Fiat Freemont which is much better looking and more charming.
