It’s always sad to share this kind of photo. A Mini Clubman was killed in an accident. As you can see from the photo, the car is on fire and it left nothing but rust by the time firemen put off the fire. Sad, one more Mini has just deleted from the surface of earth. The Mini Clubman was produced by British Leyland from 1969 to 1980 and it was made available in 1,098 cc and 998 cc engine. Now one among the thousands that built from 1969-1980 has gone.
While 2012 has just entered February, there are two exotic car accidents happened in Malaysia. The first one involved a black Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. From the pictures, we believe the driver lost control with the car and smashed the side of the road with high speed on Gutrie Highway, Subang. The car is believed rollover because the roof dented, windscreen is broken and all wheels fall off car. The car is also believed to have crashed with the guardrail causing the million dollar car looks like a piece of junk. According to witness, the driver is alive.
This is not the recent Lamborghini accident if you followed our previous news regarding a man wrecked a Lamborghini Murcielago after hours he gets the car key.
Another case that happened early in January before Chinese New Year, a Nissan Skyline GTR V-spec were cut into two pieces after the driver is believed to have lost control with the car and hit a pillar with high speed. Both the driver and passenger were died in the accident.
Remember that few days ago we asked “What are you planning to do if you own a Lamborghini Murcielago?” In just few days we got another answer from an Utahan, the answer is “I will crash it!”
The Utahan, David Dopp, is truck driver and is also a father of six. He won a 650-hp lime green Lamborghini Murcielago on Saturday from a giveaway sponsored by Mavrick gas stations and teamgive.org. It was suppose to be a thanksgiving present but he wrecked it just after hours since he gets the key of a 650-hp exotic car.
As usual, when one get a huge lucky present like what Dopp gets, the neighborhood is going to celebrate with a convoy run with him in the exotic. Imagine that Dopp gets into a 650 hp from what he used to have. He may get a little bit excited with the power the car delivers. Dopp lost control during the ride. The car went over a curb and hopping off the road and stay 75 feet into the field. Luckily Dopp has a full insurance coverage otherwise he may have to pay a huge amount for the repair although the cost is still unknown.
A report says that the car bumper has been damaged, oil pan has been broken, but both passengers in the car are safe. One official says the accident was speed related but Dopp keep saying he hit a patch of black ice or gravel.
“Yeah, I got it on Saturday and I wrecked it on Saturday,” Dopp said, “We were coming up a hill, going around a corner; and as soon as we came up the hill, we either hit some black ice or loose gravel or something, and all of a sudden we just started spinning,” said the Lucky Winner.

Although this is a Lamborghini, it isn’t the most expensive car crashes of the year of 2011 compared to the recent exotic car crashes in Japan.
People who love cars must step into Japan once in a life time for sure to see all the exotic cars and how car enthusiasts rape their cars. Yesterday, 14 exotic cars destroyed and crashed in Japan motorway pileup, marking the most expensive exotic car crash in history with eight Ferraris, a Lamborghini, three Mercedez-Benz, a Toyota Prius, and possible a Nissan Skyline. The estimated total cost involved in the crash worth more than a million dollar.
In Japan, most of the Ferrari cost more than US$100,000 except older Ferrari 550 Maranello or Ferrari Testarossa. With eight Ferraris crash together, the combined value is already more than a million dollar excluding the Lamborghini and three Mercedes. Base on the pictures we can see from AP and video from NTV, some of the Ferraris can said to have total loss. The amount for the damage is yet uncountable.
How could this happen? The exotic drivers were actually heading to Kyushu from Hiroshima and this was supposed to be a perfect exotic car convey. However, one of the Ferrari drivers, a 60-year-old man tried to change the lanes he is driving and hit the median barrier. Other Ferraris that follow from behind apply the brakes immediately and some other cars tried to avoid but things were happened too fast. Cars behind collided when trying to avoid hitting the first Ferrari, end up a tragedy for exotic car enthusiasts.
Reports said that one witness told the news that they were speeding and end up they were gathered together in a mess. It took six hours for traffic police to clean up the mess. There is not much of information from Police in Yamaguch. However, from the pictures and video, it is roughly a Ferrari F360, F512, F355s, and a F430 Scuderia.
Mitsuyoshi Isejima, an executive officer for Yamaguchi prefecture expressway told Bloomberg, “It was a gathering of narcissists”.
