  • Mini rollover, eat some mud, and back on road again

    Before the rollover crash

    A red color Mini had a rollover accident during a classic Mini convoy from Kuala Lumpurto Pahang last year. The driver is believed lose control and leave the roadway and crashed in the canyon that is about three meters deep. He did not get pinned in the car and he is managed to get out from the car. A tow truck was there to tow the car out from the mud. No injuries occurred as a result of the accident.

    As for the poor red Mini, it received some dents on the body as well as front bumper and the left rear side windscreen was broken. Other than that, no major damage except it’s all covered with mud especially the left door panel. Thanks to the strong engine sump guard, the engine did not damage at all. Stainless steel Aston fuel cap locked the petrol tank tight too. The car just start after it is being “landed” again.

  • Marco’s 1992 Mini British Open

    Mini British Open
    The Mini featured here today is Marco Diomedi’s MK6 1992 Mini British Open fromItaly. The car is painted in a notable British Racing Green with two silver stripes on the bonnet. A look from the front, the most eye-catching is the four spotlights with Union Flag and the chrome stone guard fitted to protect the headlamp. A look from the side, Diomedi added a few custom decals to make the car look unique other than the original coachlines with “British Open Classic” decals and coat of arms. Wheels are still the original 12-inch Minilite.

    The Mini British Open Classic was introduced in 1992. It is one of Rover’s finest and rarest Mini in MK6 generation because there is only 1,000 units were produced for theU.K.market. The car is powered by a 1.3i engine and featured a full length electrical folding sunroof. The original price was £7,195.

  • Another Show Winning Mini with A.J. Interior

    Nice Mini Cooper
    This is a show winning Mini Cooper with A.J. Interior. The car stands above all other Minis attended to the show like a crane strutting among a flock of chickens. The owner of the car customize the outlook with a modified bodykit that looks like one of Rover’s finest and rarest Mini Cabriolet. Wheels are 13” x 7” deep dish Minilite to match with the wider arches.

    The car is painted with British Racing Green, one of the most notable car paint on classic Mini. On top of the hood, there are two white stripes with John Cooper signature on it. There is some chrome accessories fitted to the car which makes it look outstanding including the stainless steel wiper kit, windscreen chrome fillet, bullet-style side mirror, and Aston fuel cap.

    Inside, the car looks stunning, luxury, and clean. Do you feel like to get into the car after seeing the photos? The A.J. interior is a setup of walnut dashboard, walnut Momo steering wheel, three cream white binnacles, three magnolia face Smiths gauges at the center of the dashboard, and stainless steel door handles. Seats and door panels are wrapped with cream color leather with black lining. From head to toe, the car is perfectly done. Good job!   • 2000 Mini Classic Seven

    The MK7 Mini Classic Seven was introduced in April 2000 as soon as the cute little car roared onto the scene in 1959. It was designed to look like an original Austin Seven Mini in 1959. The car came in three colours: Solar Red, Old English White, and Black. The Mini Classic Seven shared here is belongs to Adam Bailey who bought it in April 2000. We had this pictures back in 2011 but now we are not sure if he still keeping the car.

    Although the car was designed to look like the 59 Austin Seven, the power is different. It is powered by a 1275cc 4-cylinder engine pumping 62 bhp and has a top speed of 90mph. All it takes is 12.2 seconds from 0-60mph. The most amazing thing is the fuel economy of 42mpg! That’s one of the reasons why the Mini is still the most sought-after car until today.

    For the 2000-built Classic Seven, it features a winding windows, dash vents, concealed door hinges, front disc brake, rear drum brakes, 12-inch alloy wheels, and 6-port rubber-mounted subframe. Inside, it looks as luxury as some other more expensive cars with body color-matched dashboard, key start and key steering lock, a Rover radio cassette player, driver’s three nice driver’s instrument binnacle, fresh air heater as standard, and two-tone leather seats.

    Amazingly, this Solar Red Mini Classic Se7en has only covered 9,367 miles for the last eleven years and has only two previous owners. Everything looks the same as when it left the Longbridge factory in 2000 except the new wavy grille a set of overmats. Even the sound of the engine and the smells from the exhaust still smell like new. Good job Adam!

  • 2000 Mini Cooper Sport

    On October 4th 2000, it is the day where the production of the Sir Alec Issigonis Mini ends. The last Mini, a red MK7 Mini Cooper Sport 500 rolls off the Longbridge production line, marking the end of an era. The pictures shared here is one of the Mini Cooper Sport built in 2000 in British Racing Green. It was one of the last few limited edition Minis in 2000 fitted with multi-point injection engine with the purpose to lower emissions, noise, and to increase the performance.

    Under the hood, the car features front mounted radiator and a powerful 1275cc engine. Transmission wise, it is available in either manual or automatic. Extra features that are eye-catching is the four additional spotlights on top of the front chrome bumper, 13-inch Sportspack wheels, wider wheel arches, and leather seats.

    The original price in 2000 was £10,895. The green one we found here is only with 40K miles on it since it was new.
