MINI Cooper World Record – Long Live The King
Last 2 years, 444 Mini Coopers in Thailand created the spelling “Long Live the King” in tribute to His Majesty the King’s 80th Anniversary. Mini Thailand set a new record for the Guinness Book World Record on MINI Phenomenon 2007. This even celebrates His Majesty the King’s 80th Anniversary by creating a car mosaic of 444 MINI cars forming the world ‘LONG LIVE THE KING’. 2009 Mini 50th Anniversary!
Yes! 2009 is Mini 50th Anniversary! Mini was born in 1959 and this small car was produced by British Motor Corporation (BMC). It was designed by Sir Alec Issigonis. This year, Mini will have a great international meeting around the world for the very special 50th years anniversary, and I do believe this small car will rock the world for a long long time. (more…)

BMW Mini Cooper
In 1994, BMW bought over Rover Group, the assets included the name of “Mini”, and also the legendary Mini car designed by Sir Alex Issigonis. Although Mini has already 35 years old, it was stil in production at Longbridge. Rover Group no longer believed in the Mini, but BMW most certainly did, and instructed that an all-new model be developed. (more…)
